Italian wine is one of the most renowned symbols of Italy today, but what does the world know about the quality and expertise across our various regions?. Many great personalities from music, fashion or film, have decided to produce wine, a way to return to nature that is lost in today’s busy life. If this is your dream, we take you on a journey to visit to a beautiful winery, “The Togata”, located in one of the most popular areas for Italian wine: Montalcino. On hand to create and experiment with 12 hectares, including 4 of Brunello di Montalcino, 4 of red, and 4 of Antimo Rosso. The farmhouse is nicely renovated and dates back to the 1600’s, covering an area of 800 square metres. Externally of stone, the farmhouse has been renovated while retaining some of the traditional features typical of Tuscan architecture, such as wide arches dividing the areas, wooden beamed ceilings, as well as the window and doorframes. This is in addition to terracotta floors. On the ground floor, is the living area that opens onto a beautiful terrace, feast for the eyes and mind as it has a beautiful view of the Val d’Orcia, a unique area for its charm and character. The life of those who choose to produce wine is closely linked to the work and, in fact, still on the ground floor, is a large entrance hall that leads to some rooms used as a wine cellar, tasting room and wine department. On the first floor, as well as four bedrooms and five bathrooms, there is a living room study and an office with a closet/cupboard. Then there is another stone building that houses the winery, with an area dedicated to the aging process and an area used as a wine shop. Above that, is a beautiful sun roof terrace, which is accessed via an external staircase. All immersed in the peace and tranquility of the Val d’ Orcia and surrounded by vineyards, olive groves and fruit orchards.
