Further confirmation of the appeal of Tuscany for international buyers came from the Real Estate Expo in Munich that finished recently. As reported by Il Sole 24 Ore in a recent article, Tuscany, represented at the Expo by the four towns of Florence, Arezzo, Follonica and Montecatini Terme, is at the centre of interest from international buyers who are looking for a great investment. As we have reported many times in our magazine this is not new, as the number of international buyers looking for prestigious properties continues to rise, seemingly immune to the crisis. What these buyers are looking for varies from luxury historic centre property, both in big cities of art like Florence and Siena as well as in smaller towns and villages of unquestionable beauty, prestigious countryside farmhouses and seaside villas on the spectacular Tuscan coast. Interest would appear to be evenly split between
habitable properties and those in need of restoration while investment spends also vary.
In short, Tuscany is one of the most beautiful and visited regions in Italy. Tourists flock to the area for its colour, its art and its culinary excellence so it is no surprise that it is such a desirable place to live.
