A much-loved home, a significant life decision, and the guidance of Simone Buracchi and Great Estate: Anne and Richard recount a deeply personal property journey marked by calm, confidence and fulfilment.
There are homes that hold stories, affections and memories layered over the years, becoming true sanctuaries for the soul.
Casale Ronco, a splendid stone farmhouse surrounded by its private gardens at the foothills of the Pratomagno mountains, has been all this for Anne and Richard. With its open views over olive groves and the Tuscan countryside, the property seems almost protected by the mountains which, like silent guardians, preserve its tradition and charm.
Anne and Richard come from the United Kingdom and, for more than twenty years, have called this place “home”.

A LOVE BORN ON HOLIDAY
Their story with Casale Ronco began around twenty, three years ago, during a holiday in the countryside of Loro Ciuffenna, in the heart of Tuscany. A trip that, almost without them realising, turned into a life choice.
First, they fell in love with the area, its gentle pace and its authenticity. Then, inevitably, with the farmhouse itself.
“The energy of these places, the views , they practically captured our souls.”

Casale Ronco thus became the centre of a life filled with gatherings, relationships and shared moments: Anne and Richard welcomed friends and family, celebrated special occasions and watched new generations grow. Memories which today make parting with Casale Ronco even more poignant.
FROM PLAN TO REALITY: A SURPRISINGLY SWIFT SALE
When Anne and Richard decided to place their farmhouse on the market, they imagined that finding the right buyer would be a long and careful process, especially as during the summer months they had preferred to rent out the property, postponing any viewings.
The reality, however, exceeded all expectations: as soon as the summer season ended, the sale was agreed. An outcome that pleasantly surprised Anne and Richard, confirming they had chosen the right partner to guide them through this important step.
THE SUPPORT OF SIMONE BURACCHI AND GREAT ESTATE
Fundamental throughout this journey was the relationship built with Simone Buracchi, international consultant of the partner agency Best Realty, and with the Great Estate team, who supported Anne and Richard through every stage of the transaction.
“Simone Buracchi has been fantastic with us from the very first meeting: friendly, engaging, professional, meticulous, understanding and personable. That is why we decided to entrust Great Estate with the sale. We were also particularly impressed by the completeness of the service we received, both during the negotiations and after the sale was completed.”
A process built on care, transparency and attention to detail – elements that helped make the experience far more reassuring.
“So many small yet important things made us feel at ease: the attention to detail shown by Simone, the fact that he kept us informed about every step we were taking. All of this was a tremendous support for us.”
CHOOSING CHANGE, WITHOUT LETTING GO OF MEMORIES
After twenty-two years they themselves describe as memorable, Anne and Richard decided to begin a new chapter in their lives. Over time, the desire to simplify their day-to-day living grew stronger and stronger. Leaving Casale Ronco was not an easy decision, but it was made with a spirit of calm awareness.
“It will be difficult for us to leave Casale Ronco, although we will certainly return to these places, so for us this is not a farewell but a ‘see you again’.”
ADVICE BORN FROM EXPERIENCE
Looking back on their journey, Anne and Richard have no doubt about the message they wish to share with anyone now considering a property transaction.
“To anyone wishing to buy or, like us, sell a property, our advice is: TRUST Great Estate. We felt comfortable and supported throughout the entire process, and that gave us great confidence.”
Casale Ronco will continue its story anew. For Anne and Richard, it remains a place of the heart – a treasured chapter of their lives which, as so often happens with the most beloved homes, never truly comes to an end.
