Precision, experience and passion: let’s meet Barbara Suglia, Administrative and Accounting Manager at Great Estate.
INTRODUCING MYSELF
I was born in Rome but, having moved to Umbria with my family at a very young age, I grew up in the beautiful area of Lake Trasimeno. After obtaining my diploma as an Accounting Technician and Business Expert at theITC Fratelli Rosselli in Castiglione del Lago, I gained various professional experiences until 2012, the year in which I began working in the luxury short-term rental tourism sector, dealing with administration and accounting for eleven years. Despite my long experience in this field, I chose to take on a new professional challenge in order to continue growing, joining the real estate sector in 2024, which for me represents a new and stimulating point of reference.
Passionate about art and history, I also decided to challenge myself again through study, enrolling in the Cultural Heritage faculty at the University of Perugia.
THE MEETING AND COLLABORATION WITH GREAT ESTATE
I joined the Holding GE in 2024 thanks to an acquaintance who was already part of the group. At that time I was considering whether to completely change the type of work I wanted to do, leaving behind all my previous experience. However, from the very first interview it was immediately clear to me that I was facing a serious and reliable company. They showed me how I could become excellent support for the department, highlighting that I would be able to rely on the company’s great openness and sensitivity in order to flourish once again in my role, a promise that was later kept.
I found a young and dynamic working environment, as well as a strong and cohesive accounting and administrative department, thanks to the manager with whom I immediately built a good team relationship.
THE VALUES AND APPROACH OF THE GROUP
Within the Great Estate I found kindness, professionalism and a strong focus on valuing the people who are part of it. It is a reality that carries with it years of experience and solid points of reference, capable of welcoming and training new resources in the best possible way. The key word, far from being taken for granted, is precisely “group”: at Great Estate you truly feel part of something, an important element of a complex and efficient mechanism that always places people first.
PROJECTS AND GOALS FOR THE FUTURE
My goal is to continue growing and to offer the company my support and professionalism, giving back in some way what I receive every day. There are many ongoing projects that require the contribution of the department I belong to: an aspect that makes me particularly proud, because it allows me to contribute to different facets of the broader growth path of the entire Holding.
Today I feel that I am exactly where I should be and I imagine my future in this company, alongside the people who make work more stimulating and motivating every day, transforming going to work into a pleasure.
MY MOTTO AND MY ADVICE
My motto is:
“prevention is better than cure.”
I like to anticipate situations, tackling them with a proactive approach and strong problem-solving experience, convinced that every problem has a solution.
My advice is to approach work with serenity until you find a context that not only welcomes you, but also values you and helps you grow, both as a professional and as a person.
