Tim and Karen Padovese hail from San Francisco; he has Italian roots and has always dreamed of buying a beautiful property in Italy.
About 15 years ago, Tim and Karen fell in love with Lake Trasimeno and its countryside so much so that, after a long reunion with their large family, they said to each other:
‘One day, when the time comes, we will look in this area and find our perfect house … and we did!’
They discovered Casale Santa Maria Nuova, a wonderful property in the hills leading from Lake Trasimeno to Città Della Pieve.
This is the perfect home for Tim and Karen. It has a large outdoor area, at least 8 bedrooms, ideal for their large family, and a wonderful swimming pool.
The Great Estate consultant who helped make Tim and Karen’s dream come true was Nicolò Cordone.
Tim and Karen discovered that a mutual friend had bought a property in the Trasimeno area with the help of the same Nicolò.
Tim told us:
‘I asked her: can you recommend your consultant Nicolò Cordone? And she answered: with flying colours!’
To make Santa Maria Nuova even more welcoming for their large family, Tim and Karen decided to renovate some areas of their farmhouse, entrusting the technical work to Giulianelli, partner of Great Synergy.

‘The architect Paola del Secco and the surveyor Alessandro Giulianelli offered us many ideas and good advice to realise our project: they were both fantastic!
Tim and Karen will enjoy Italy in their beautiful new home in the company of many friends and family.
