“Tuscan en Plein Air”: a dream in the south of Tuscany

Magazine Great Estate

“Tuscan En Plein Air”: this is the undoubtedly evocative name of the marvellous farmhouse we want to present today.

We are just 5 minutes away from the historical centre of the well known hamlet of Cetona, in the province of Siena, in the south of Tuscany. This small medieval town located at the foot of the Mount Cetona was awarded of the “orange flag” by Italian Touring Club in 2005 and included among the most beautiful hamlet in Italy. The surrounding countryside, during summer season, is tinged with intense colours that charm the soul and the heart. That’s the magical setting of the farmhouse “Tuscan En Plein Air”.

The antique atmosphere of this residence can be breathed today thanks to a careful and wise restoration: the rooms are warm and refined and the travertine fireplace in the living room is splendid.

The particular studio boasts a mezzanine library, while the winter garden at ground floor is perfect to spend enchanting and relaxing moments. The elegance of the rooms can be found even in the external garden, where, through a stone path, we reach the big swimming pool immersed among the splendid century-old olive trees.
