Living in a Farmhouse to Renovate: How We Transformed “La Ghiandaia”

Architect Laura Terziani shares the outcome of a teamwork project made possible by Great Synergy. This restyling initiative fully realised the wishes of the new owners of a beautiful farmhouse in Tuscany.

The sale of the farmhouse “La Ghiandaia” was finalised in the summer of 2024. The property is located in Lucignano, in the province of Arezzo, Tuscany, and has been inhabited for 40 years by the American painter Linda Schrank.

Thanks to the support of the agency Rolling Hills – a branch of Great Estate in Montepulciano – the new owners embarked on a significant renovation and restyling project to modernise the farmhouse and adapt its spaces to their lifestyle. This was one of the first projects where the Great Estate group employed the skills coordinated by the Great Synergy partner network, involving Marchettini Casa & Gioielli for interior decoration, Casa Camil for interior furnishings, Arredamenti Salvadori Romolo for outdoor furniture, and Midnight Computers for setting up the internet network. The entire renovation project was overseen by one of the group’s longstanding partners, the Rocchini – Terziani Studio. The post-purchase coordination managed by Great Estate and Great Synergy professionals Anna Marchettini, Anna Rosi, and Matilde Dionisi ensured that the client’s wish to move into their new home immediately after a restyling phase, which preceded the main renovation, was fully satisfied.

Today, “La Ghiandaia” is a farmhouse that retains its original beauty, tastefully furnished and ready to be lived in.

Further work will be carried out in the future, and Great Synergy will continue to follow this project in every detail, ensuring the new owners enjoy peace of mind, comfort, and satisfaction. In the following video, architect Laura Terziani explains the aims of the project and her involvement through Great Synergy, a project that embodies the long-standing trust between the Studio and Great Estate. Over the years, the collaboration with high-profile professionals like Rocchini-Terziani Studio has brought many property projects to life, including the transformation of the farmhouse “La Ghiandaia.” This successful case is the first to bear the signature of Great Synergy, the group’s new business unit created in 2024 to enhance and solidify these virtuous relationships between companies, professionals, and the Great Estate group.
