For sale is this prestigious villa that was once owned by Vivien Leigh, in which the actress lived after her divorce from Laurence Olivier. It’s the latest, of these mega villas that have been offered for sale at this time of economic crisis. The famous star of “Gone with the Wind” lived in this wonderful house, from 1961, which is located in the outskirts of the village of Framfield in the Wealden District, East Sussex.

Today the house is on the market for 3.5 million pounds (about 4.25 million Euros). It is located in an area where you can enjoy absolute privacy and is only accessible by a private road. As well as Vivien Leigh, the villa has hosted important personalities such as Princess Margaret, Churchill and Robert Helpman, who designed the garden.

It is a charming country house, which includes several cottages and studios scattered around the garden. The historic Mill House is in red brick with large arched windows that date back to the XXVII century and has been completely renovated. A large dining room and living room with a fireplace make up the living area with wooden floors typical of a country house. A picture gallery leads to the first floor master bedroom with ensuite bathroom. The guest bedroom is on the ground floor.
