Dating back to the 1300s, age of Municipalities, when Florence was a rich and prestigious city, this beautiful residence now is used as a luxury B&B. It has been always of great historical value (in 1300s it was the property of Art Corporation of Lana, then in 1600s it was transformed into the residence of Grand Duke of Florence, and later – into the psychiatric hospital). Now it has historical marks such as medieval arches and terracotta flooring.
The building has been renovated keeping the historical and cultural features of Tuscan architecture. There are ceilings with wooden beams and rooms with the remains of frescoes and inscriptions dated back to the 1600s. In the bedrooms we can see oak flooring and pickled parquet, in bathrooms – beautiful black lava stone. Warm colours of stone and plastered walls make the property elegant and refined.
