Let’s get to know Hariet Nijhuis, international consultant of Great Estate and founding parter of Great Stays.
INTRODUCTION
My origins are Dutch, but I have lived in Italy for over 30 years.
I have lived in Florence, Venice and Rome, and since 2002 I decided to settle in the beautiful countryside surrounding San Casciano dei Bagni: here I found my paradise.
Arriving in Italy, I wanted to exploit my linguistic knowledge, starting to work 360° in the world of tourism, also opening a tour operator agency in Città della Pieve which organized luxury trips and events for international companies throughout Italy: creating tailor-made experiences for a very demanding clientele. Always looking for new experiences and challenges, about 10 years ago I also discovered the world of real estate, feeling a lot of gratification in supporting people from all over the world looking for second homes to purchase.
MEETING AND COLLABORATION WITH GREAT ESTATE and GREAT STAYS
Before officially joining Great Estate I had the opportunity to meet with our CEO Stefano Petri, on several occasions. Every time we met, Stefano told me: “You have to come and work with us.“
In the end … I accepted!
In the first years of our collaboration, Stefano often spoke to me about his project to create a company dedicated to luxury tourist rentals but, given that I had only recently left that sector, at the beginning I preferred to dedicate myself completely to real estate consultancy.
Then, in 2022, that project materialized and became reality with the birth of Great Stays, a tour operator dedicated to luxury and eco-sustainable tourist rentals in Central Italy, of which I am a member.
VALUES AND METHOD OF THE GROUP
Before joining Great Estate, I had never worked in a group.
I found an extraordinary reality and environment, made up of people of all ages who believe in the same values and who are committed to achieving the same goal: the success of the group.
What is more beautiful than being able to work in a team with which to share experiences, results, dreams, and sometimes, even disappointments and difficulties?
I believe that much of the merit of all this lies in the commitment of Stefano Petri, for whom the well-being of each of his collaborators is a very important value.
FUTURE GOALS AND PROJECTS
In the future I would like to be able to peacefully find the right balance between work and private life, achieving even more important results in helping many people realize their dream in Italy, together with my colleagues at Great Estate and Great Stays.
