At the end of November 2019, GE signed the sale of a traditional farmhouse located in Lazio, near the beautiful hamlet of Civita Di Bagnoregio: Podere Cervara.
In the northern Lazio, at the border with Umbria, one of the most amazing hamlets of Italy stands: Civita Di Bagnoregio. On the top of a hill, with all its incredible charm, it can be reached through a 200m-long bridge.
Maybe this is the reason for its “recent name”, the dying town. However, Civita Di Bagnoregio and its charming atmosphere have become a remarkable national and international touristic destination.
Podere Cervara lies right near this beautiful hamlet. This traditional property has been sold by Great Estate on November 27th, 2019 (click here to read the property tab).
Dating back to ‘800, this ancient farmhouse has been carefully renovated: original elements like Cotto and stone floors and the ancient wooden doors have been maintained.
Owing a stunning view on the surroundings, this property has been purchased by an international couple managed by the GE consultant Hariet Nijhuis, the co-founder – together with Coen Vreeke – of the international real estate agency named ItaliaCasaNl (read our article here).
Hariet told us that:
I met the buyers of “Podere Cervara” at “Second Home”, a Dutch exposition held in Utrecht last February. They are a couple from Germany who has been living in the Netherlands for years now. They wanted to purchase a residence in the countryside between Orvieto and Bolsena Lake.
Once back in Italy, I entered Podere Cervara into the ItaliaCasaNl website, then I proposed it to the clients. In a very short time, they gave me a very positive feedback.
When they saw the house on our website, they immediately fell in love with it…. It was love at first sight!
In particular, they were amazed by the location and the style of the property: shabby chic. They will use it as their holiday-country estate.
The negotiation was pretty hard, especially because of the vendor who – as my colleague, Suzanne Van Ravenstein, may confirm you – was rather challenging for us!
